AlongRoute Data P.C. is a Greek start-up company, established in 2022. Its headquarters are located in Thermi, Thessaloniki in Greece at the 15 km of the Thessaloniki – Moudania Nat. Rd. The company’s Business Registration Number (GEMI) is 166220704000.

Our Beginning

AlongRoute started from a simple observation: maritime decision-making still depends heavily on weather and ocean forecast inputs that are often not accurate enough for high-stakes operational use. As shipping faces growing pressure to improve efficiency, reduce fuel consumption and cut emissions, better marine forecast intelligence becomes increasingly important.

We set out to build a different kind of forecasting capability — one that applies modern artificial intelligence to marine weather prediction and turns complex environmental data into operationally useful insight for the maritime industry.

What we do

We develop AI-based marine forecast products focused on the parameters that matter most to maritime operations, including waves, wind and surface currents. Our work is designed to support routing-related use cases, performance-aware planning and marine decision-making where timing, safety and efficiency matter.

Today, AlongRoute offers high-resolution, one-hourly forecast data for the Mediterranean Sea, with a roadmap toward broader geographic coverage and wider operational use.
