AlongRoute joined Web Summit 2025 in Lisbon as part of the Greek delegation and was also selected among the startups participating in the event’s PITCH competition. This marked an important opportunity for us to present AlongRoute on one of the world’s biggest technology stages and connect with international stakeholders across shipping, ESG, insurance, and maritime operations.

Ahead of the event, we shared our schedule in Lisbon, including our PITCH appearance on 11 November at Pavilion 2, Stage 6, alongside our presence at the Greek delegation stand hosted with the support of the Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) and THE Athens Startup Business Incubator. Their support played an important role in helping Greek startups gain visibility in such a competitive international environment.

For AlongRoute, the value of Web Summit extended far beyond the pitch itself. One of the strongest takeaways was the power of real human connection, face-to-face conversations that can often create more momentum than months of online meetings. Our time in Lisbon led to meaningful discussions, valuable exchanges, and new connections with people who understand the growing importance of marine weather intelligence in shipping and maritime decision-making.

Our participation was also part of a broader Greek presence at Web Summit 2025, highlighting the growing strength of the national startup ecosystem. AlongRoute was among the startups supported through this collective effort, which helped showcase Greek innovation on an international stage and opened the door to new conversations with investors, partners, and ecosystem leaders.

Lisbon gave us fresh momentum and reinforced AlongRoute’s international trajectory. Events like Web Summit matter because they create the right environment to share our mission: delivering decision-grade marine weather intelligence that supports safer, more efficient, and more sustainable maritime operations.
